Step out and enjoy the great night life, new guide urges visitors

The Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors are renowned for their dramatic landscapes and spectacular heritage sites but there's a great dining experience and much entertainment on offer, according to a new guide to the area.

Janet Deacon, Welcome to Yorkshire area director; singer-songwriter
Terri-Ann Prendergast and Jonathan Slape, of Scarborough Spa
launch the new evening entertainment guide.
The Evening Entertainment Trail allows visitors to discover an eclectic mix of entertainment from chilled-out music festivals to intimate live gigs and sample food and drink from cosy pubs serving locally brewed award winning ales to sophisticated dining in an array of restaurants, gastro-pubs and even luxurious Pullman dining carriages.

Welcome to Yorkshire has developed the guide with Scarborough Borough Council, Ryedale District Council and North York Moors National Park. It will be distributed among the area’s tourism businesses, information points and handed out at tourism events and fairs throughout the region and beyond.

Welcome to Yorkshire area director Janet Deacon said: “The Evening Entertainment Trail has been designed so that no matter where you are on the Yorkshire Coast and North York Moors and no matter who you’re with, you will be able to discover the very best evening experiences available.

"Whether you’re looking for live music, a theatrical treat, the perfect pint or sublime food, the area really does have it all.”

Jo Ager, general manager at Scarborough Spa, said: "We’re delighted to be part of the new Evening Entertainment Trail, a guide that we feel shows off the abundance of high quality venues we have in our area, all striving to offer a first class customer experience.

"Here at Scarborough Spa, we pride ourselves on our huge variety of entertainment including famous comedians, musical theatre, internationally acclaimed bands, award winning festivals and thriving local talent, all sitting alongside a great range of food and drink and service with a smile.”
