A new exhibition that captures the beauty of the Yorkshire Dales National Park is a real family affair.

Father and daughter artists Peter and Beverley Hicks are showcasing their work in the Dales Countryside Museum, Hawes, until 3 July, focusing on the Malham area and including Malham Cove, Malham Tarn and Gordale Scar.

Museum manager Fiona Rosher said: “It’s very exciting for us to be the venue chosen by Peter and Beverley for their joint exhibition, which is called ‘In Tandem’.

“They have explored the very special landscape of Malhamdale in their individual ways and created a stunning show of work.”
Peter said: “For me, Gordale has become a compelling equation – the conflicting elements of falling water, tumbling rocks and high cliff walls – leaving me so much to address; an ever-changing series of contrasting forces.”
