Bus service improvements are just the ticket in Wensleydale

Bus services in Wensleydale are benefiting from improvements including increased frequency.

North Yorkshire County Council and bus operators say they are responding to passenger feedback and make best use of available funding.

County Councillor John Blackie, member for the Upper Dales and chairman of the Upper Wensleydale Community Partnership, which operates The Little White Bus said: “Our new timetable has many improvements provided unilaterally by The Little White Bus as a result of the huge success of our services, operated in the main by our team of 40 volunteer drivers.

“The changes the county council and other bus operators have put in place allow us to offer even better connections with our Little White Bus services at Leyburn, giving residents of Wensleydale an increasingly frequent, flexible and reliable service, making the best use of the more limited resources we all have available.”

One timetable will operate throughout the whole year. New scheduled services will match or exceed the frequency of those operated prior to The Little White Bus service taking over the routes.
