Span-tastic! Ribbons cut as market town's new bridge declared open
Lord Crathorne KCVO takes the first steps across Stokesley's new bridge with district councillor Mrs Bridge Fortune after performing its official opening ceremony.
More than a hundred residents turned out for a champagne reception and ribbon cutting while Bilsdale Silver Band performed.
The £25,000 River Leven Jubilee Bridge provides disabled access to the town centre and a safe route for pedestrians from the south west of the market town. It replaces the old iron footbridge which closed three years ago.
