Cheryl's show honours one of nation's best entertainers

Originally produced in honour of Joyce Grenfell’s centenary year, Turn Back the Clock has been touring the country and playing to sell-out houses for the past 18 months — and it's calling at Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre on Saturday 6 April.

Cheryl Knight as Joyce Grenfell.

The comedy revue sees Cheryl Knight playing the woman regarded as one of the greatest female entertainers of the twentieth century and features some of her more delicate and poignant pieces.

An accomplished actress, Joyce Grenfell is best remembered for her monologues, songs, and comic writings. She starred in well-known films, including the original St Trinian’s series, was a regular on television, radio and the stage, and entertained troops during the war.
