Norsing around: museum gets set for Viking festival fun
Yorkshire Museum of Farming has announced that it will be joining in the fun of the Jorvik Viking Festival.
The attraction at Murton, near York, will be running Be A Viking activity days for the half term on February 14-16.
Youngsters and their families are encouraged to dress up for the part before being taken into a village replicating life of eleven centuries ago where they will be invited to get involved in hands-on activities such as pot-making and spear drill.
The events are popular so museum staff advise early booking. Further information is available by telephoning 01904 489966 or emailing enquiries@murtonpark.co.uk
